Empower Youth at Mariposa

In January 2026, Voices of Our Youth officially adopted Mariposa Elementary. Since then, we have been showing up — consistently, compassionately, and powerfully.

We established a fully operational food pantry directly on the Mariposa campus, ensuring that no child goes hungry and no family has to choose between groceries and rent.

Every week, twice a week, we bring groceries directly to Mariposa families — reducing barriers and meeting them where they are.

We provide cribs, car seats, diapers, wipes, formula, and baby food to families with newborns and infants — because every baby deserves a safe and healthy start.

Students cannot focus on learning if basic needs go unmet. We distribute clothing, shoes, and hygiene products to ensure every child walks into school with dignity.

We believe childhood should still be joyful — even in hard times. Toy distributions bring smiles and moments of pure happiness to kids who need it most.

We help families keep their lights on and their water running — because stability at home means success at school.

We reward and celebrate students who show up — building habits of consistency and pride in their academic journey.

Teachers are the backbone of every school. We celebrate and honor Mariposa's educators with appreciation events that remind them: you are seen, valued, and supported.

Through our mentorship programs, students are paired with positive role models who invest in their futures, build their confidence, and walk alongside them through life's challenges.

From resource fairs to community celebrations, we bring the Antelope Valley together — creating connections, healing divisions, and building the village it takes to raise a child.

We don't stop at what we can provide directly. We connect Mariposa families with trusted community partners for housing, mental health, legal aid, employment, and more — ensuring no family falls through the cracks.
